Weekly Update: Sept. 3-7
Published on Sep 3, 2018 13:27

Hello and welcome back to your weekly email updates.

Opening Day Procedures for September

Year 1 Kindergarten students (JK) will have a staggered entry. Letters were mailed to parents/guardians in July to inform you of your child’s school visit date with the teacher and Designated Early Childhood Educator (DECE) and the staggered start date.

Year 2 Kindergarten students (SK) will meet in the Kindergarten yard tomorrow to be greeted by their classroom teacher & DECE.

Grade 1-8 students will assemble in the large yard area. When the bell rings, students are asked to line-up behind the chairs labeled with their new grade number.  Teachers will inform students of their assigned teacher and classroom location.

Parents are welcome in the yard tomorrow morning only.  After that you must say your good-byes at the fence.  Please be aware that there may be limited parking in the parking lot.  It may also be very congested on the surrounding streets.  If you live close enough to walk your child to school that would be helpful.

In the event of rain, we will organize in the gym, library and hallways.  Please remember that all class placements are tentative until approximately the end of the third week of school, when the School Board confirms staff numbers.  Students may need to be relocated to a new classroom during that week.

Have a great week and a wonderful start to the new school year.
